Physical Therapy treatments may consist of a series of strengthening and stretching exercises, a variety of modalities such as ice, heat, ultrasound, cold laser, electric muscle stimulation, and sometimes even manipulating specific parts of the body all with the purpose of decreasing pain and inflammation, while improving mobility, range of motion, and restoring your physical function.

A detailed treatment plan will be created based on the patient’s condition and abilities. Physical therapy may consist of over a dozen different types of techniques and treatments made up of exercises, stretches, manual therapy techniques, hot or cold packs, electric muscle stimulation, cold laser therapy, and therapeutic ultrasound.

Physical Therapy does require a script from the ordering physician within the first 30 days of the patient starting treatment. At our facility we have the unique advantage that our patients can see our medical physicians on staff to be evaluated and manage their physical therapy treatment to assure efficiency in the patient’s rehabilitative needs.

Typically it is not a problem to have back to back visits. Some acute conditions may actually require daily treatments to reduce pain and inflammation.

We are proud of the convenience we are able to offer for our patients. We have morning and evening appointments available seven days a week. Please be certain you have your insurance card and prescription information available when you call, so we can verify your insurance and give you and accurate estimate.

There are several things to bring with you when you come in for your first visit:

• A prescription for physical therapy (if necessary) from your physician, PA, or ARNP
• Insurance information
• Completed patient forms
• For cases of car accident or workers’ compensation claims, bring in your insurance adjuster contact or case manager’s name, number, and claim number

Please be sure you arrive 15 minutes early to ensure that your paperwork is in order so you can be sure your evaluation is as efficient as possible.

For the most part physical therapy is not painful. At times, if doing physical therapy after an injury there can be some slight discomfort. We work with our patients to go at a slow comfortable pace that is good for them.

A majority of insurance companies cover the types of physical therapy services we offer, though the type and amount of coverage can vary between companies and plans. At your first visit, our team will verify your coverage and give you an idea of what is covered. If you wish, you may choose not to utilize your insurance, instead paying for services with a private plan.

For patients who do not have insurance, we offer a discounted fee, due at the time of service.

We accept cash, check, debit card, and credit card. It is our policy that payment is made at the time of service. Your insurance benefits will be determined before your second visit, and you will be informed of what, if any, payment is necessary on that date.

For those patients who do not have health insurance or those who have maxed out their benefits, we offer a self-pay rate. Please contact us today for more information on our fees for service and payment details.

It is best to wear loose fitting clothing and shoes that are suitable for exercise. We can work around the patient’s clothing if necessary. We also have garments for patients to use if need be.

The initial visit requires a comprehensive examination along with treatment recommendations. We ask our patients to plan for at least an hour on their first visit. Follow up visits can take anywhere from 45 – 60 minutes per session.

Physical therapists are experts trained in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Our therapists have many years of experience and each and every particular therapist has a well-diversified background in physical therapy to fit our patient’s needs. Our therapists are proficient in specialized treatments ranging from Kinesio Taping techniques to McKenzie Protocols.
