Spinal Decompression Treatment

Relieve neck and lower back pain with Spinal Decompression Treatment.

What is Spinal Decompression Treatment?

Spinal Decompression Treatment is an FDA cleared non-surgical treatment, proven safe and effective in treating chronic neck and back pain caused by bulging and herniated discs. Over time, pressure causes spinal discs to compress, bulge and even herniate. This pressure builds on the nerves in the spinal column, which leads to sometimes debilitating back pain. Spinal decompression is used to relieve pressure on pinched nerves in the spinal column, which are often caused by bulging or herniated discs. By creating negative pressure, spinal decompression draws in bulging and herniated discs, allowing them to heal.

What do we use it for?

Spinal decompression is especially effective for the treatment of low back pain due to bulging or herniated discs. It also can relieve neck pain and symptoms of sciatica.

A New Solution: Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy

During Spinal Decompression treatment the cervical or lumbar spine is gradually decompressed which allows for a negative pressure to be applied to the spinal column and affected disc(s). This negative pressure allows bulging or herniated disc material to be slowly and gently re-positioned or moved back into place. This correction lessens the pain brought about by the original pressure of the disc(s) on the spinal cord and nerves. The negative pressure exerted due to decompression also allows for increased blood flow, nutrients, oxygen, hydrogen, and water back into the disc. This rehydration of the disc( s) jump starts the natural healing process and begins to repair the disc(s).

Spinal Decompression shows remarkable results in trials and studies

Several Studies have been conducted and the results show that people who suffer from back pain and undergo decompression therapy have a very high rate of success. According to the Orthopedic Technology Review, there was an 86% success rate in treating 219 patients with 188 of the patients having favorable results!! Source: Orthopedic Technology Review. Not all Spinal Decompression is created equal

Although standard decompression has shown impressive results, at Options in Nutley we have taken it a step further. We proudly introduce the Antalgic-Trak®, the most advanced Spinal Decompression in the market. What makes the Antalgic-Trak a special is that it is one of the very few spinal decompression machines that have patented three dimensional positioning and decompression of the neck and low back. This machine can literally be placed at different angles, rotations, and lateral positions to precisely target specific neck and back pain areas. These varying spinal postures enable the pull forces to reach into areas of the spine that common straight axial cable-table can miss. Those who have suffered whiplash in an auto accident can now find relief with this advanced system!!

“Our office in Nutley offers a variety of treatments. Each patient that walks through our doors is unique and may have a different condition that needs to be treated properly. I feel that it is very important to seek out any treatment that may benefit our patients.”
